Harvested from a particularly cool site in the Russian River Valley, the fruit for this wine is hand picked and hand sorted, lightly destemmed and fermented in small, open top fermenters. It is then aged in French oak barrels for a year, racked once off the gross lees, and then one more time before blending and bottling. Concentrated cherry fruit is framed with the sweet spiciness of the oak, and the fruit extends on the palate, through layers of eastern spice and cola. Satin textured, there is a base structure of firm acidity that allows the flavors to remain fresh and full on the palate through a long seductive finish.
Varietals: Chardonnay & Pinot Noir
Harvested from meticulously farmed, low yielding vineyards in the heart of the Russian River Valley, this wine is fermented entirely in French Oak, and receives regular lees stirring, and a light fining before being bottled down. The result is a Chardonnay that offers concentrated flavors of baked apple and pear, notes of toasty vanillin, rich cream, and a touch of spice. The wine is full bodied, fleshy and exotic,a powerful yet exceedingly elegant expression of Russian River Chardonnay.
